Street Art is in my blood

On way to the city of Hallandale or Hollywood
Miami finally began to see graffiti as Street Art it is and can be and they're late.

I remember working with the City of North Miami Beach back in the late 90s and having to work with one of the administrators to write a PR piece about the dangers of graffiti. I couldn't in all good conscience do the PR as it was so anti-street graffiti, equating gorgeous urban-cultural murals and quirky graffiti with gang tags, street gangs, and crime in lower-income neighborhoods. I didn't get to do the piece. The supervisor and I couldn't agree and I was thankfully removed from the project.

Nowadays, when I travel downtown Miami, I see even more captivating graffiti and the street art from my New York City childhood.
