We are driving through the Bronx.


Burnside, Webster, Valentine aves. Fordham Rd, City College, My Lady of Mercy, and where the old Public Library once stood, demolished and replaced by what I was told was a sleeker and more modern structure.

The red of brownstones faded and new Walgreens, Cee & Cee, Apple Store replaced my sister's school and the Alexander where we used to shop... It's not my childhood New York but it's still mine.
