Ignorance is a terrible thing. If it was harmless, it would be laughable, but once that ignorance creeps into the mainstream and is touted by so-called 'experts', than ignorance becomes a force for bad and can cause real damage to systems and real harm to people's lives.
Take for instance those that claim Santa Claus is WHITE need to take several seats. First off, good ol' Saint Nick is modeled after a 5th century Turkish bishop! He was also an ELF in early stories.
During the 1930s, Coca-Cola had their artist update him as the Caucasian HUMAN Santa we see now.
In some Scandinavian countries, he's still an elf. In other countries, he's the Christ child. And in others, he's a little girl or young woman with a crown of candles on her head.
Jolly old Father Christmas(England) is anybody you want him(or her) to be!
