One of my romantic-comedy/slice-of-life comic/graphic novel OC's mannerisms are based on Ruby Rhod from The Fifth Element! And if you actually believe he played no significant role in that film- somebody actually said this- I'll know you didn't pay attention since you only saw an over-the-top, loudmouth Black man.
My character, Septimus, is loud, brash, full of sass, very queer, and isn't afraid to shut down bigots, confront abusers, and though shorter than the average man, can still kick a bully's behind. If you want to see him in full color, head on over to my Instagram @ handdrawnbycarmenjr.
