Got Back Into BL(Boy's Love)

I'm really glad I'm getting more into the Boy's Love(BL) genre now. Because years ago, there was a lot of problematic elements in it being worked through and even the genre's fans pointed them out. Probably being a newbie to this medium, I may have taken those problematic elements for granted and unfortunately, may even have adopted them into my own works.

Rewatching 80s Beauty and the Beast TV series

Bingeing the TV series #BeautyAndTheBeast (starring #LindaHamilton & #RonPerlman). And to see a favorite #TVshow from childhood. To know I was 11 and that tomorrow, I'll be 44... Such a pivotal series. It changed how I view shows, how I think, read, write, and draw #stories.

Ok, I sketched some other old characters, and now their story I wrote eons ago is flowing out into the journal and I better remember to return to the other graphic novel story about the former student and teacher hookup or I'll legit have folks out there ready to kill me.😅

This story deals with childhood friends who end up working at the same high school and  I will say no more for now. And to my nascent 'fans' of the other about former student and teacher, I'm STILL WORKING ON IT. It's crazy, comic's still in draft, and people act like it's published.😅 

Most of my short stories and comic romantic couples are interracial and/or interfaith. Though I love romance both on TV and in books, I was frustrated by the constant homogenization... Again, I write what I didn't see in a lot of popular culture growing up.
