The adage, "Don't talk religion and don't talk about politics" (& the add-on) "Don't talk about sex" is one of the many reasons we are here now. The folks in power and [who] get that power through various systemic oppressions hoped we wouldn't so we would be wholly unprepared to fight [against] them.
