The latest happening...

Haven't posted to my blog. So many things going on...
A co-worker and good friend suddenly went into a coma, was in that state for over two weeks, and then suddenly passed away.

I've been applying to many writing grants and other opportunities because I was planning to quit one of my jobs. Now I realize I must keep the job all the way into next year but continue to apply for those writing grants.

My novel is continuing. Just need to add more meat in-between chapters.

Ever since I participated in Inktober this October, I have reinvigorated my sense of artwork and changed my paradigm view on myself as an artist. Now I'm receiving more info to sell my pieces.

I also am revising a number of short fiction that can expand my submission opportunities. Not only to help market my upcoming novel but help with those grant opportunities.

I am also trying to vidcast and podcast some more to get my Introverted self ready for more marketing within the writing and art communities.

So yeah. A lot has been going on and will continue, G-d willing, into 2017.

This has been a difficult year for many of us and I hope and pray for a more prospering and fulfilling future.

Winter Wrap Up! *Bronies will know*

I had so many things I planned to do, as I often try to nearing year's end. I updated my website AGAIN, updated the blogs, had planned to overhaul my mom's Blogger store as I shut down one account to open another.

Good thing I did most of my list earlier, possibly a few months ago. As I did volunteering for the Book Fair, I had to add that to my CV on LinkedIn. Once I published a new piece, both LinkedIn profile and my bibliography blog needed updating.

Now that the craziness and wonderfulness of Christmas has ended and I look forward to the New Year, I try to settle accounts, update my eBay Half.com store (you'll notice there is an icon added to the blog. I'll use a smaller icon later, like what I use on my official website), and do some more writing and computer work that my job and my coursework had prevented. I am also looking to my last term before I graduate. There are many things I must attend to. Updates and tweaking will continue.

"In Pretty Print" has gone through many changes as I have. Here's looking to more. Much, much more.

P.S. I promised my readers and visitors that I would continue to share 'classic' posts online, and I will do so, until all of the writing information originally posted to 'Third Sunday' is sent. Here's to 2015!

This Blog Turns 4 YEARS OLD

Had just realized once this November started, "In Pretty Print" has turned 4 Years Old! My little Bloggie is growin' up! Now that I wiped the tear from my eye, I can get started.

This has caused me to re-evaluate my blog and its purpose. Something I think all bloggers run into and have to ponder. I don't have any special downloads or swag to offer. I used that for the official site, and initially, the blogs were to be 'companion pieces' to Tabber the Red website. I didn't expect the blogs to take on lives of their own. They are now complete entities in themselves, yet part of my mini-network with the site (this also includes the DeviantART profile).

Blogging didn't come easy to me when building my website. It was a learning process. I made mistakes and lost blogs because of it. This blog is actually my FOURTH attempt. Still, I don't feel like an expert. I still read and follow and 'fan' other blogs (as well as grinding my teeth in envy over their beautiful interfaces and templates) but I also try to learn from other bloggers to continue to help mine grow and evolve.
One day, I want others to visit In Pretty Print in droves. I want it to change lives. I want it to be one of many sources of inspiration. Just as other blogs do for me and more.

In celebration of "In Pretty Print - A Writing and Artist Life...Ongoing", I will try to break my average 2-3 posts per month.

If you're a fan of my blog, I will be highlighting pivotal posts that were first debuted on the now closed literary blog carnival, Third Sunday. The posts I submitted to the blog carnival consisted of writing advice and tips, things that inspired me, ideas on what to do if deciding on an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree, and much, much more.

There are a lot of events happening this November: NaNoWriMo, the Miami Book Fair International, etc.
Let me celebrate the blog's 4th birthday by offering the information and ideas that have sustained me as a writer and artist over the years.
